Best Celebrity Documentaries: Tiger Woods, Beyonce, Taylor Swift - GLAMOUR UK

Posted: 10 Feb 2021 03:10 AM PST

Framing Britney Spears is undeniably one of the most talked-about TV shows this year so far. Recently airing in the US, the controversial documentary from the New York Times explores the pop star's 28-year career and her father, Jamie Spears's, status as her conservator – something which Britney tried to overthrow to no success in 2020.

But while Framing Britney Spears has been released on FX and Hulu in the US and sent social media into a frenzy worldwide, it's yet to be confirmed for UK release. Though fans believe the gripping documentary could well be airing on Disney+ soon for us UK viewers (considering Hulu and FX are subsidiaries of The Walt Disney Company), it's safe to say we may be waiting a while.

So, we thought we'd round up the best celebrity documentaries – filled with tons of gasp-worthy drama – to get stuck into instead.

You could take a musical tour with Queen Bey herself, explore the mysterious circumstances surrounding Sam Cooke's death, or take an eye-opening look into the personal lives of music icons Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Nina Simone. Or whether you're a sports fan or not, the Tiger Woods documentary is one of the most edge-of-your-seat shows we've seen in months!

Also coming out soon is Billie Eilish: The World's A Little Blurry on Apple TV+ – offering a never-before-seen insight into the life of 19-year-old Billie Eilish, one of the most famous people on the planet. From her home life with her family to launching an album that would change her life forever, this is one to mark in your diaries.

If celeb documentaries don't take your fancy then check out our pick of the best true crime documentaries on Netflix, our ultimate roundup of the best tv series ever, or for Valentine's/ Galentine's Day, our favourite date night movies.
