Monday saw the inauguration of the President of the United States but heads were turning when Beyonce sang "The Star Spangled Banner" and flashed her $1.8 million earrings. Bright and green...could they be emeralds?
The Lorraine Swartz earrings were indeed emeralds with a total weight of 80 carats. The earrings added a dash of bold color to her black Pucci gown and Christian Dior coat. She added a matching emerald ring worn on the index finger of her right hand. The emerald ring was a whopping 50 carats.
Emerald is the Pantone 2013 Color of the Year. Expect to see more of the fresh, green color in fashions as well as jewelry this year.
